In 1964, he began his higher education at Fordham University. After two years, he transferred to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

From 1971 to 2017, he was chairman and president of his family real estate company, Elizabeth Trump & Son (now called The Trump Organization), which was founded in 1923 by his grandmother and father. His business career primarily focused on building or renovating office towers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses.

Political career of Donald John Trump:

In 2000, Trump ran in the California and Michigan primaries for nomination as the Reform Party candidate for the 2000 United States presidential election, but withdrew from the race in February 2000. A July 1999 poll matching him against likely Republican nominee George W. Bush and likely Democratic nominee Al Gore showed Trump with seven percent support.

In 2011, Trump speculated about running against President Barack Obama in the 2012 election, making his first speaking appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February 2011 and giving speeches in early primary states. In May 2011, he announced he would not run, and he endorsed Mitt Romney in February 2012. Trump's presidential ambitions were generally not taken seriously at the time.

His rise to political fame:

The 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries and 2016 United States presidential election campaign of Trump's fame and provocative statements earned him an unprecedented amount of free media coverage, elevating his standing in the Republican primaries. He adopted the phrase "truthful hyperbole", as coined by his ghostwriter Tony Schwartz, to describe his public speaking style.

Trump announced his candidacy in June 2015. His campaign was initially not taken seriously by political analysts, but he quickly rose to the top of opinion polls. He became the front-runner in March 2016 and was declared the presumptive Republican nominee in May.

Hillary Clinton led Trump in national polling averages throughout the campaign, but in early July, her lead narrowed. In mid-July, Trump selected Indiana governor Mike Pence as his vice presidential running mate, and the duo were officially nominated at the 2016 Republican National Convention. Trump and Clinton faced off in three presidential debates in September and October 2016. Trump twice refused to say whether he would accept the result of the election.

During the 2016 primary, Trump defeated more than a dozen rivals to win the Republican nomination. While he lost the popular vote, Trump defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the general election by winning a majority of Electoral College votes. His campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again.”

Trump described himself as a "nationalist" and his foreign policy as "America First". He espoused isolationist, non-interventionist, and protectionist views. His foreign policy was marked by praise and support of populist, neo-nationalist and authoritarian governments.

Without previous elected political experience, President Trump used unconventional methods to communicate his priorities. Most notably, he used the social media platform Twitter as a primary mechanism for direct communication with the American public, other politicians, and the press corps. As president, he signed a major tax reform bill into law and oversaw a reduction of federal regulations. His protectionist trade policies included tariffs in foreign aluminum, steel, and other products.

Much income was in tax credits for his losses, which let him avoid annual income tax payments or lowered them to $750. In the last decade, he balanced his businesses' losses by selling and borrowing against assets, including a $100 million mortgage on Trump Tower (dued in 2022) and the liquidation of over $200 million in stocks and bonds. He personally guaranteed $421 million in debt, most of which is due by 2024.

After New York State authorities notified the company that its use of the word "university" violated state law (as it was not an academic institution), its name was changed to Trump Entrepreneur Initiative in 2010.

In 2013, the State of New York filed a $40 million civil suit against Trump University, alleging that the company made false statements and defrauded consumers. In addition, two class actions were filed in federal court against Trump and his companies. Internal documents revealed that employees were instructed to use a hard-sell approach, and former employees testified that Trump University had defrauded or lied to its students. Shortly after, he won the 2016 presidential election, Trump agreed to pay a total of $25 million to settle the three cases.

Donald J. Trump Foundation:

The Donald  Trump Foundation was a private foundation established in 1988. In the foundation's final years, its funds mostly came from donors other than Trump, who did not donate any personal funds to the charity from 2009 until 2014. The foundation gave to health care and sports-related charities, as well as conservative groups.

In 2016, The Washington Post reported that the charity had committed several potential legal and ethical violations, including alleged self-dealing and possible tax evasion. Also in 2016, the New York State attorney general's office said the foundation appeared to be in violation of New York laws regarding charities and ordered it to immediately cease its fundraising activities in New York. Trump's team announced in December 2016 that the foundation would be dissolved.

In June 2018, the New York attorney general's office filed a civil suit against the foundation, Trump, and his adult children, seeking $2.8 million in restitution and additional penalties. In December 2018, the foundation ceased operation and disbursed all its assets to other charities. His Career before politics:

Rishi spent his professional career before politics in business and finance, working internationally. He also co-founded an investment firm working with companies in multiple geographies. He then used that experience to help small and entrepreneurial British companies grow.

Rishi's Political career:

In 2010, Sunak began working for the Conservative Party. During this period he also became involved with Policy Exchange, a leading Conservative think tank, for which he became head of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Research Unit in 2014. That year, Policy Exchange published a Portrait of Modern Britain, a pamphlet that Sunak wrote with Saratha Rajeswaran, deputy head of the BME unit.

In 2014, Sunak was chosen as the Conservative Party’s candidate for the House of Commons representing Richmond in North Yorkshire, a safe Conservative seat in the north of England long held by onetime party leader (1997–2001) William Hague.

In May 2015, Sunak was elected by a commanding majority. He came into office as Euroskeptic and firmly in the “leave” camp on the issue of Brexit, which he said would make the United Kingdom “freer, fairer, and more prosperous.” He voted three times in favour of Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit plans.

From 2015 to 2017, he was a member of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee and parliamentary private secretary at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

In January 2018, he was appointed to his first ministerial post as undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Sunak became a vocal supporter of Boris Johnson’s pursuit of the party’s leadership, and, when Johnson became leader and prime minister, he rewarded Sunak with a promotion, appointing him chief secretary to the Treasury in July 2019.

During Sunak’s tenure as second-in-command at the Treasury ministry, tensions were high between his boss, Chancellor of the Exchequer Sajid Javid, and Johnson. When Javid resigned in February 2020, Johnson replaced him with Sunak, who, at age 39, became the fourth youngest person ever to hold that position. Almost immediately Sunak was faced with the manifold challenges brought about by the arrival in Britain of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

As the British economy was clobbered by the shutdowns imposed by the government in an attempt to stem the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19, Sunak employed the powers of his office to try to offset the economic and human damage. He instituted a broad economic-support program that dedicated some £330 billion ($400 billion) in emergency funds for businesses and salary subsidies for workers aimed at job retention and easing the burden of the lockdown for individuals and companies alike. Those rescue programs were widely popular, and the polished, poised Sunak became the welcome face of the government at daily press conferences where the prime minister appeared less composed.

In 2022, Sunak was reported to be "quick" to declare his intention to replace Johnson as leader with his produced campaign video that was released hot on the heels of Johnson’s announcement that he was stepping down - a decision many could think as a betrayer.

With Johnson remaining as a caretaker prime minister until the party could choose a replacement for him, the parliamentary party (sitting Conservative MPs) set about the series of votes that incrementally winnowed the field of candidates for the leadership from eight to two. At the end of that process, Sunak and Foreign Secretary Liz Truss remained as the final duo whose names were submitted for a vote by the party’s whole membership.

Sunak stood to be the first person of colour and first Hindu to lead Britain. To achieve that end, he overcame the perception among some Conservatives of his being too wealthy to understand the needs of the average British citizen at a time of devastating inflation and the reservations of other Conservatives who were put off by the tax increases Sunak had imposed on corporations and national insurance in an attempt to help offset the costs of the government’s pandemic relief programs.

When the results of the election were announced on September 5, 2022, Sunak came up short, taking 42.6 percent of the vote, compared with 57.4 percent for Truss, who became party leader.

On October 23, the day before nominations were due, Johnson withdrew from consideration. By early October 24, more than half the MPs had already committed to nominate Sunak. When Mordaunt dropped out shortly before the deadline, the way was clear for Sunak, as the sole remaining candidate, to be confirmed as party leader, setting the stage for him to become prime minister.

Alas, Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister of the Uk on 25 October, 2022.

His duties as The UK Prime Minister is the leader of His Majesty’s Government and is ultimately responsible for the policy and decisions of the government.

Also, as the leader of the UK government, the Prime Minister also performs the following:

Why Life Insurance Policy will put a smile on your face - The importance of insurance

One of the best ways to save is to invest and "Insurance" has been proven to be one of the bests that guarantees a genuine reward for your investment.

This article will explain the meaning of insurance, importance and why people do insurance.

What is Insurance:

Insurance means to protect against loss. It's a an agreement by the Insurance company (Insurer) to compensate the insured against loss.

What is life Insurance?

Life insurance is an agreement between the "Insurer" - person who seek Insurance and  the "Insured" - the insurance company - it thus cover the life of the latter. It offers financial aid in case of the death of the policyholder during the term of the policy, to the beneficiary. This is why having a life cover is a must for every earning individual.

Insurance: Why Life Insurance will put a smile on your face; insurance policy

Having life Insurance should be embraced by people, especially the working class. No one can tell what tomorrow holds in store, hence need be for Insurance to hold what comes forth.

Why you need life Insurance in UK, US, Nigeria, China:

Across the US, the UK, and other developed Countries, Life Insurance has been top on the Citizens' bucket list. While most African Countries are on a low rage in embracing Insurance, though the Elites among them are into Insurance.

But, the Insurance ought to be embraced by everyone. These are reasons why it should be top on your list:
  • For Health care: As we all know that getting sick is really expensive, especially in the United States, United Kingdom, Philippines and almost all African Countries. With the World filled with many Viruses, sickness and other mental issues, taking some critical illness, like stroke, ulcer, cancer, and others as case study, the medications required and medical bills of those illnesses cost a lot.
  • For medical treatment:  with all the illness list above, Will savings and salary be enough to cover those? I guess no for the low income earners. But If yes, then that is good for you. If not, then where will you get the money? Are you ready to sell your hard-earned  properties like house, cars and sacrificed your dream to travel? I guess not right? So that is where life Insurance comes in.

Here is how insurance policy works:

With life Insurance, they will give you the money when you will be diagnosed with a critical illness that would help your medications.

Research has shown that while some developed Countries have some structures created by their Government on some sickness, most African Countries are used to selling off their properties to pay medical bills.

Here are some of the  reasons why people Invest in Life Insurance:

  1. Backup Plan: Health is wealth indeed, and buying a life Insurance is one of the most important financial decisions you can have as a backup plan to fall back on.
  2. Life savings: Chances of you getting your life Insurance later is not promised because uncertainties are part of our day to day life. You may be healthy now but the chances of you being healthy tomorrow is not guaranteed, only God has that. Once you get ill, the chances of you being insured are dropped to 0%.
  3. Affordability: Also, the younger you buy, the cheaper your life insurance - With your younger age and a healthier you, higher chances of you receiving an approval for your insurance application is within your reach. Doing life insurance at old Age does not hold benefit.
  4. Peace of Mind: With life insurance, you secured a peace of mind - Eventhough sickness, illness, injury, accident, and death happen to you, you have this assurance that you and your family will be financially supported. How was Queen Elizabeth II death announced?

Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”

However, before the ascension of King Charles III, let's take a look back at the monarchs before his reign.

Here is the full list Video clip of past Monarchs of United Kingdom: Video credit: Cottereau

The First British Monarch is Queen Anne - 1702 – 1714

At 37 years of age, Anne, daughter of James II ascended the throne as the first British monarch. According to Britannica, she was born on February 6, 1665, in London.

It was gathered that she became queen in March 1702, where she ruled until 1714 after her demise.

The Second British Monarch is King George I - 1714 -1727

Son of Sophia and the Elector of Hanover, great-grandson of James I. The 54-year-old George I arrived in England and able to speak only a few words of English with his 18 cooks and 2 mistresses in tow.

George never learned English, so the conduct of national policy was left to the government of the time with Sir Robert Walpole becoming Britain’s first Prime Minister.

George spent little time in England – he preferred his beloved Hanover, although he was implicated in the South Sea Bubble financial scandal of 1720.

The Third British Monarch Is King George II - 1727 – 1760

He is the only son of George I. He was more English than his father but still relied on Sir Robert Walpole to run the Country.

George II was the last English king to lead his army into battle at Dettingen in 1743.

In 1745, the Jacobites tried once again to restore a Stuart to the throne. Prince Charles Edward Stuart, ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie’. landed in Scotland.

He was routed at Culloden Moor by the army under the Duke of Cumberland, known as ‘Butcher’ Cumberland. Bonnie Prince Charlie escaped to France with the help of Flora MacDonald, and finally died a drunkard’s death in Rome.

The Fourth British Monarch Is King George III - 1760 – 1820

He was the grandson of George II and the first English-born and English-speaking Monarch since Queen Anne.

His reign was one of elegance and the age of some of the greatest names in English literature – Jane Austen, Byron, Shelley, Keats, and Wordsworth.

It was also the time of great statesmen like Pitt and Fox and great military men like Wellington and Nelson.

In 1773 the ‘Boston Tea Party was the first sign of the troubles that were to come in America. The American Colonies proclaimed their independence on July 4th 1776.

George III was well-meaning but suffered from a mental illness due to intermittent porphyria and eventually became blind and insane. His son ruled as Prince Regent after 1811 until George’s death.

The Fifth British Monarch Is King George IV - 1820 – 1830

Known as the ‘First Gentleman of Europe’. He had a love of art and architecture but his private life was a mess, to put it mildly! He married twice, once in 1785 to Mrs. Fitzherbert, secretly as she was a Catholic, and then in 1795 to Caroline of Brunswick. Mrs. Fitzherbert remained the love of his life. Caroline and George had one daughter, Charlotte in 1796 but she died in 1817. George IV was considered a great wit but was also a buffoon and his death was hailed with relief.

The Sixth British Monarch Is King William IV - 1830 – 1837

Known as the ‘Sailor King’ (for 10 years, the young Prince William, brother of George IV, served in the Royal Navy), he was the third son of George III. Before his accession, he lived with Mrs. Jordan, an actress, by whom he had ten children. When Princess Charlotte died, he had to marry in order to secure succession.

He married Adelaide of Saxe-Coburg in 1818. He had two daughters but they did not live. He hated pomp and wanted to dispense with the Coronation. The people loved him because of his lack of pretension.

During his reign, Britain abolished slavery in the colonies in 1833. The Reform Act was passed in 1832, this extended the franchise to the middle classes on a basis of property qualifications.

The Seventh British Monarch Is Queen Victoria - 1837 – 1901

Victoria was the only child of Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg and Edward Duke of Kent, the fourth son of George III.

The throne Victoria inherited was weak and unpopular. Her Hanoverian uncles had been treated with irreverence.

In 1840 she married her cousin Albert of Saxe-Coburg. Albert exerted tremendous influence over the Queen and until his death was the virtual ruler of the country.

The Queen withdrew from public life after the death of Albert in 1861 until her Golden Jubilee in 1887. Her reign saw the British Empire double in size and in 1876 the Queen became Empress of India , the ‘Jewel in the Crown’. When Victoria died in 1901, the British Empire and British world power had reached their highest point.
She had nine children, 40 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren, scattered all over Europe.

The Eighth British Monarch Is King Edward VII - 1901 – 1910

A much-loved king, the opposite of his dour father. He loved horse racing, gambling, and women. This Edwardian Age was one of elegance in the history of UK Monarchs. Edward had all the social graces and many sporting interests, yachting and horse racing – his horse Minoru won the Derby in 1909. Edward married the beautiful Alexandra of Denmark in 1863 and they had six children.

The eldest, Edward Duke of Clarence, died in 1892 just before he was to marry Princess Mary of Teck. When Edward died in 1910 it is said that Queen Alexandra brought his current mistress Mrs. Keppel to his bedside to take her farewell. His best-known mistress was Lillie Langtry, the ‘Jersey Lily’.

The Ninth British Monarch Is King George V - 1910 – 1936

George V had not expected to be king, but when his elder brother died he became the heir-apparent. He had joined the Navy as a cadet in 1877 and loved the sea. He was a bluff, hearty man with a ‘quarter-deck’ manner.

In 1893 he married Princess Mary of Teck, his dead brother’s fiancee. His years on the throne were difficult; the First World War in 1914 – 1918 and the troubles in Ireland which lead to the creation of the Irish Free State were considerable problems. In 1932 he began the royal broadcasts on Christmas Day and in 1935 he celebrated his Silver Jubilee.

His later years were overshadowed by his concern about the Prince of Wales and his infatuation with Mrs. Simpson.

The Tenth British Monarch Is King Edward VIII - June 1936 – December 1936

Edward VIII was the most popular Prince of Wales Britain has ever had. Consequently when he renounced the throne to marry Mrs. Wallis Simpson the country found it almost impossible to believe. The people as a whole knew nothing about Mrs. Simpson until early in December 1936.

Mrs. Simpson was an American, a divorcee and had two husbands still living. This was unacceptable to the Church, as Edward had stated that he wanted her to be crowned with him at the Coronation which was to take place the following May. Edward abdicated in favour of his brother and took the title, "Duke of Windsor". He went to live abroad.

The Eleventh British  Monarch Is King George VI - 1936 – 1952

George VI was a shy and nervous man with a very bad stutter, the exact opposite of his brother the Duke of Windsor, but he had inherited the steady virtues of his father George V. He was very popular and well loved by the British people. The prestige of the throne was low when he became king, but his wife Elizabeth and his mother Queen Mary were outstanding in their support of him.

The Second World War started in 1939 and throughout the King and Queen set an example of courage and fortitude. They remained at Buckingham Palace for the duration of the war in spite of the bombing. The Palace was bombed more than once. The two Princesses, Elizabeth and Margaret, spent the war years at Windsor Castle.

The Twelveth British Monarch Is Queen Elizabeth II -1952 – 2022

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, or ‘Lilibet’ to close family, was born in London on 21 April 1926. Like her parents, Elizabeth was heavily involved in the war effort during the Second World War, serving in the women’s branch of the British Army known as the Auxiliary Territorial Service, training as a driver and mechanic.

She married her cousin Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and they had four children: Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward. When her father George VI died, Elizabeth became Queen of seven Commonwealth countries: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, and Ceylon (now known as Sri Lanka).

Queen Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953 was the first to be televised, serving to increase popularity in the medium and doubling television license numbers in the UK. The huge popularity of the royal wedding in 2011 between the Queen’s grandson, Prince William, and the commoner Kate Middleton, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, reflected the high profile of the British Monarchy at home and abroad.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died at Balmoral on 8th September 2022 at the age of 96. She was the longest reigning monarch in the history of the United Kingdom, celebrating her Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

The Thirteenth British Monarch Is King Charles III - 2022 - Date

The current British Monarch is King Charles III. His full name is Phillip Arthur Geroge. Born on 14th November, 1948; in Buckingham palace during the reign of his maternal grandfather, king George VI.

Biggest Public Health Issues In America

This article talks about top 10 biggest Public Health Issues in America and The United Kingdom

Talking about the Public Health Issues/challenges In the United States, this article drives answers in correlation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP), who monitors top public health issues.

Biggest Public Health Issues In America

Here are the top 10 major areas of public health concerns as reported by the CDC:

  1. Healthcare-associated infectious
  2. Alcohol
  3. Food Safety
  4. Heart diesases and stroke
  5. Tobacco use
  6. Drug Prescription overdose
  7. Motor Vehicle Injuries
  8. Nutrition, Physical activity and obesity
  9. Teen pregnancy
  10. HIv/Aids

Here are the explanations to all the aforementioned health issues in America:

1. Healthcare-associated infections:

The Healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) happen when patients are being treated in a healthcare related facility - Hospitals, Isolation centre, etc. According to CDC, it reports that every day, about one in 25 patients in hospitals acquire an HAI such as surgical site infections, central line-associated bloodstream infections, catheter-associated and urinary tract infections and. However, it should interest all Americans that the CDC and its partners have developed tools and resources to prevent HAIs.

2. Alcohol:

Alcohol is reported to have caused approximately 88,000 deaths per year in the United States. It is attributed to excessive alcohol consumption.

Long-term health risks can develop as well, to include: high blood pressure, stroke, liver disease, heart diseases and digestive problems; cancer; learning and memory problems; mental health problems; social problems; and alcoholism.

The short-term health risks of excessive alcohol use include: injuries, such as motor vehicle crashes, falls, drownings and burns; violence such as homicide, suicide and sexual assault; alcohol poisoning; risky sexual behaviors; and miscarriage and stillbirth among pregnant women.

3. Food Safety:

According to CDC, Foodborne illness sickens one in six Americans each year and results in 3,000 deaths.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) calculates the cost of foodborne illnesses to be $15.6 billion annually. However, foodborne illness is preventable, and the CDC and USDA take a leading role in promoting food safety at the federal level and other levels of government.

4. Heart disease and stroke:

Both heart disease and stroke are leading causes of death in the United States, CDC reports that  about 610,000 people die of heart disease each year. Prevention focuses on addressing high LDL cholesterol, high blood pressure and smoking of any type.

Meanwhile, there are about 130,000 deaths due to stroke annually. Because stroke can affect mobility, it is a major cause of disability as well.

5. Tobacco use:

According to CDC, approximately 16.8 percent of adults ages 18 and older smoke, or 35 million Americans. The percentage continues to decline, but smoking is still a prominent health concern in the United States. It is the leading cause of preventable disease and death. As a way forward, the CDC recommends the following to reduce tobacco usage in America:
  • Increasing the price of tobacco products,
  • Sustaining tobacco control program, funding,
  • establishing statewide smoke-free policies to protect nonsmokers Americans from secondhand smoke, lastly,
  • Smoke permit could be adopted for those having Health challenges with Doctor's advise to smoke.

6. Drug prescription overdose:

The CDC reports that deaths from prescription opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone have quadrupled since 1999. As a response, the CDC has published prescribing guidelines for healthcare providers and encouraged states to adopt prescription drug monitoring programs. There is a push for expanding addiction treatment.

7. Motor vehicle injuries:

American Vehicle Officers reports that more than 32,000 people die and another 2 million sustain injuries from motor vehicle accidents each year. One-third of deaths involve drunk driving and almost another third involve over-speeding.

As a precaution, the CDC emphasizes seat belt use for adults, car seat use for children and driving without distractions or impairments like alcohol and drugs. CDC also warns that Children should not be allowed to sit at the front of the Car.

8. Nutrition, physical activity and obesity:

This is a common issue around the World, the general population is aware that poor nutrition, lack of physical activity and obesity are causing numerous health problems.

The CDC is tackling this complex public health issue beginning with schools, which should provide a quality meal program and ensure only healthy foods and beverages are available to students.

As part of obesity prevention, multiple organizations and schools can help individuals know their body mass index via testing and maintain a healthy weight and incorporate physical activity into their lives and school curriculum. The good news is that some Schools in America, United Kingdom and some others have key into this.

9. Teen pregnancy:

Report by CDC shows that the rate of teen pregnancy continues to decrease every year in America, almost 250,000 babies were born to females ages 15-19 in 2014. Teens need support from parents and other trusted adults, who can play an important role in helping them make healthy choices about relationships and sexual activity, the CDC advises.

10. HIV/AIDs:

Though, the good news is that the number of new HIV diagnoses is declining, but CDC reports that about 44,000 people were diagnosed with HIV in 2014. In total, approximately 1.2 million Americans are living with HIV, and about 13 percent do not know they are infected - many of whom are walking on the streets of America. Nearly 7,000 people per year die from HIV and AIDs.

Some of the preventive measures for HIV/Aids as released by CDC are:
  • Abstinence from either premarital s@x,
  • Educating the population about HIV infection,
  • Correct use of condoms, and
  • Non-sharing of sharp objects like needles and blade.

Swedish Scientist Advocates Eating Human Flesh To Fight Climate Change

Swedish scientist, Magnus Soderlund, has proposed Cannibalism as an unusual solution to fight climate change.

According to New York Post, Soderlund, a Stockholm School of Economics professor and researcher, said he believed that eating human meat, derived from dead bodies, might be able to help save the human race if only the world "awaken the idea."

Swedish Scientist Advocates Eating Human Flesh To Fight Climate Change

Soderlund's canvassed his position at a panel talk called "Can You Imagine Eating Human Flesh?" at the Gastro Summit in Stockholm. He said "conservative" taboos against cannibalism can change over time if people simply tried eating human flesh.

When asked during an interview after his talk if he personally would try human flesh, Soderlund said he was open to the idea.

"I feel somewhat hesitant but to not appear overly conservative…I'd have to say…I'd be open to at least tasting it," he said.

He went on to suggest other options such as eating of pets and insects.

Meanwhile, a tribe in Papua New Guinea practised eating their dead as an alternative to allowing them to be consumed by worms, according to the Standard. The cultural practice led to an epidemic of a disease called Kuru, also known as laughing death.

The practice of cannibalism among the people of New Guinea came to an end in 1960.

Egyptian Referee Suspended For Using Spectator’s Phone To Review Goal

An Egyptian referee, Mohamed Farouk, has been suspended indefinitely by the country's FA, after allegedly disallowing a goal after looking at footage on a spectator's phone.

Egyptian Referee Suspended For Using Spectator’s Phone To Review Goal

Mohamed Farouk took charge of an Egyptian Second Division clash between Al-Nasr and Suez on Friday and in the absence of VAR, relied on an alternative system to get a second look at a late goal.

With the hosts Suez 2-1 up heading into the final few minutes, Al-Nasr scored a dramatic equaliser to earn a point on the road.

However, after vociferous protests from home supporters, Farouk was invited to use a fan's phone to watch a replay of the goal before ruling it out for handball to deny the visitors an away point at Suez on Friday.

Dailymail reports that as a result of his actions, Farouk has come in for hefty punishment, with the head of the Egyptian Referees Committee, Vitor Pereira, deciding to suspend the referee and his entire matchday staff for 'an indefinite period'.

Pereira replaced former veteran Premier League official Mark Clattenburg in the role with the ERC earlier in March.

Pereira's action was confirmed by the Egyptian FA, who added, “The committee decided to investigate the incident when Mohamed Farouk, the referee of the match, used a mobile phone to review footage of the match's events.”

Trump roasted on Twitter after saying Charlie Crist did a ‘good job’ governing Florida in dig at DeSantis

Trump roasted on Twitter after saying Charlie Crist did a ‘good job’ governing Florida in dig at DeSantis

Critics say Trump campaign staffers 'should be fired' for video praising Crist.

Former President Donald Trump has faced ridicule on Twitter after he praised former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, a Republican-turned-independent-turned-Democrat, in a dig at the current governor and his likely 2024 presidential rival, Ron DeSantis.

Trump, the front-runner in the current GOP presidential field, issued a campaign video Monday that suggested "sunshine and ocean" are what brought people from New York and other states in droves since the COVID-19 pandemic and not DeSantis’ policies.

"For those of you that didn't notice, Florida was doing great long before Ron DeSanctus got there," Trump said in the video, using his new favored nickname for the governor. "People are fleeing from New York to Florida and other places because of high taxes and out-of-control crime. It's really bad. Not because of the Governor."

"Florida was doing fantastically," he continued. "You had a governor named Rick Scott who did a very good job. Even Charlie Crist, a Democrat, did a good job, but he had very good numbers."

"Sunshine and ocean are very alluring," he added. "It's not too hard to work with those factors. So just remember Florida was doing really well long before Ron DeSanctus got there."

Former Rep. Crist was a Republican when he was governor but is now a Democrat after a brief stint as an independent. He was the Democratic nominee in the 2022 Florida gubernatorial election but lost in a landslide to DeSantis.

Conservatives and liberals alike roasted Trump for the video.

"Whoever helped Trump create this (even if you’re a friend of mine), should be fired," tweeted Seth Weathers, the CEO of Freedom Speaks Up. "Also, Trump should fire himself for participating in this."

"Remember when your administration was mad DeSantis re-opened Fla. during Covid?" Grabien founder Tom Elliott asked the former president.

"I don't want to say I warned ya, but I did," tweeted Jedediah Bila. "Ego is a very self-destructive thing."

"This is absolutely ridiculous," wrote Dave Rubin.

"I legitimately had to triple check this wasn't AI-generated," conservative Twitter personality Noam Blum.

"Whomever is advising Trump to praise Charlie Crist should be fired immediately," tweeted conservative pundit John Cardillo.

"Trump praises Rick Scott, Charlie Crist, sunshine, ocean and himself for Florida doing ‘really well,’" tweeted Washington Post investigative political reporter Josh Dawsey.

"He has no idea whatsoever how to attack DeSantis. None," tweeted senior CNN commentator Scott Jennings.

Trump released the video as he visited Iowa, the state that leads off the Republican Party’s presidential nominating calendar. He spoke Monday night at the Adler Theater in Davenport just days after DeSantis visited the state.

While Trump remains the front-runner in the Real Clear Politics national average of polls, DeSantis, who has not officially announced a presidential run, has significantly narrowed the gap.

Jesse Kelly theorized Trump made the video because he thinks he "might be in trouble."

"Hardest part of a campaign is when you’re up in the polls, but not so far ahead that you think it’s over," Kelly tweeted. "That’s all you’re seeing here. Unforced errors cause he thinks he might be in trouble. It’s easy to be up big or down big. It’s hard to be barely ahead. You make mistakes."

Holidays In America; UK - Origin of Christmas and Boxing Day

Holidays in America | Holiday In United Kingdom

There are many holidays in the United States of America, the United Kingdom and other parts of the World, including Lesotho. Some of these holidays may be a day to mark a Historic moment or event; a day to commemorate a legend, while others could be a mourning day.

Holidays In America; UK - Origin of Christmas and Boxing Day

While other parts of the World do have some joyful moments to celebrate among themselves, the North Korea often have National mourning Days when Citizens are to feel sobre for that period of time as declared by the Country's Supreme Leader. Anyways, the focus of this work is on Christmas and Boxing Day Holidays.

In this review, we shall focus on the origin of Christmas and Boxing Day Holidays.

What is Christmas | What is Boxing day?

Many people around the World misquoted the two in different dimensions. But, Daily News Report history analyst traced the roots of these two holidays; with a view to enlightening our esteem readers all over the world. Wherever you are in the World, Daily News Report welcomes you into the Holiday season.

let's talk on what brought about Christmas - We might have heard somewhere and somehow that Christmas day was once a festive day for an "idolism". To begin, history made us realize that Christmas comes up as a celebration to disassemble a festive period in some Asia countries, know as "sungod festival". Ever head of it? it's a festival season where people come around the World and gathered to worship the nature - i.e, Sun, Moon and Star.

People come from different Countries in the World to celebrate this "sungod" festival. During the event, the Organizers usually provide many foods, drinks and gift items to the worshipers and to those who came from far and near to celebrate with them.

The celebration is also been occupied by the  majority of Christians in the churches in Rome and other Countries. Year by year, people do turn up for the festival, just like normal Carnival.

Sooner, a Pope in the Roman Catholic Church in Rome, who is being affected by the way the members of his church congregation do travel down to the venue of the "Sungod", to worship it when it comes to the season, discovers a way to stop the People.

He studied the birth of Jesus Christ and he realized that Jesus was given birth to during the season of harmattan, which falls around November/December (Same season with the sungod festival). Hence, He thought of using the day when people do go to celebrate the nature "Sungod", as a day to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. The Pope tagged it as "Christmas", and he informed everyone about the celebration.

As the day comes, few people come to mark "Christmas" for the first time, while many go for "Sungod". Though, the Pope concluded that the turn-out of his celebration was low at first and he decided to improve on his packagings in the next edition.

In another edition of the celebration of the Christmas, the Pope informed the people of better offers in the season. People from different Countries turned up for the celebration of Christ. They wine and dine a lot during the celebration, and in the next day, the Pope packaged some gift items; which were putten inside "boxes" for each person to take home. The gift inside the Box was given to everyone as take away.

Upon getting the gifts, the people departed to their different destinations, they showed others who went for the "Sungod" their gifts too. They also inform them about how the "Christmas" is a better celebration than "sungod".

Later, year by year, many people now turn out to celebrate the birth of Christ and less turn out for "Sungod". The more they come for Christmas, the more they receive "gift- inside-box" the next day.

To establish a fact here, No Bible and Prophet make a clear date of when Jesus was born. But, the season was made known - Harmattan Season.

The two celebrations are now among the major holidays people mark around the World. That is how people now celebrate the birth of Christ - "Christmas" and box-in-day (Gift inside Box)- Boxing day since  thousands of Years till date. The boxing day is a day to share gift to loved ones.

We have also compiled few unique collections of Christmas Songs. Click to play and enjoy the Holidays.
