Let's begin to serve you data from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on the Election, it shows that 18 political parties fielded candidates for the governorship elections slated to hold in 28 out of the 36 states of the Federation in Nigeria.

This is so because the governorship elections of eight other states, namely: Anambra, Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Imo, Kogi, Osun and Ondo states are held off-season due to litigations and court judgements. But, State Legislative Elections will be held across the 36 States in Nigeria today.

Live Election Updates for 2023 Governorship and state House of Assembly Elections:

The election process has began and INEC Staffs are already at some of the  the polling units acorss the States; arranging and preparing for the Election.  Updates from the scene at some units show votess are getting ready to vote already.

As at 9:11am, INEC staff have arrived and setting up for the elections at Polling Unit 016, Fofure, in Fofure Local Government Area of Adamawa. Few people can be seen on the queue waiting for the process to begin.

Mainwhile, Daily News Report confirmed from a viral video posted by Sahara Reporters where some "thugs" suspected to be for the APC are going around Lagos State, telling the people not to come out if they aren't voting for APC.  This video is coming amid Thursday's viral video where MC Oluomo held a meeting and telling people they must vote for APC, warning the Igbos in the State to stay away. 

Data from the Lagos State in the 2023 Presidential Election shows Labour Party defeated the ruling APC in the State, perhaps that has been one of the reasons the APC is indirectly putting stronger hands in the governorship Election.

Low voters turnout as voting commenced in Garatu Ward, Bosso LGA in Niger state

The Election has commenced in some of the States. We have Election ongoing at: PU01, INEC officials have arrived and voting has started at New Haven Health Centre, Enugu North LGA, Enugu; Voting also ongoing at Yenagoa Ward 7, PU 12, Bayelsa State and some other Pus.

[As at 10:15am] Mainwhile, we have report that in Victoria Garden City, Residents In Lagos Accuse INEC Officials Of Changing Polling Units Unannounced On Election Day.

just as the LP Candidate votes in Lagos State, he Addressed the press. The LP Candidate, Rhodes-Vivour accuses APC of Voter suppression in Lagos, says he’ll go to Court if Governor Sanwo-Olu Wins. Governor Sanwo-Olu is seeking reelection in Lagos State as Governor under the APC Platform.

Mainwhile, there has been low Voter turnout in Enugu Metropolis as INEC Officials are yet to arrive at many polling Units.

1:45am: President Mohammadu Buhari casts his vote at his pulling unit in Daura, Katsina State.

Situation Report as confirmed by Daily News Report shows that Party agents are paying voters N1,000 at Polling Unit 003, Umulolo Umuogbugbu, Igbo Eze south LGA, Enugu state.

In Ondo Town of Ondo State, Daily News Report confirmed that the State assembly election is going on smoothly with soldiers patrolling the major highways. 

Although, there seems to be low turnout of voters as most of the PUs in Ward 7, 8, 9, 10 and few others are let with either no voters or just few voters walking in to vote.

The three major contenders in the Ondo West, Constituency I assembly Election are: OMO of the APC, AZ of SDP and the Incumbent Honourable Tomide, who is seeking re-election under the PDP.
