There is uneasy in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over threats by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed to opt out of the Atiku Presidential Campaign.
Mohammed was said to get angry over alleged intelligence that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is not keen on his second term ticket.
He allegedly felt slighted that he was not given free hand to manage the campaign in the Northeast.
The governor also complained about alleged disdain for him by the party’s presidential candidate.
He said of all the presidential aspirants of the People's Democratic Party(PDP), he was the only one Atiku never visited for rapprochement and reconciliation.
Also yesterday, the five aggrieved governors – Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Seyi Makinde (Oyo) — resolved to sustain their battle against Atiku and National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu.
It was learnt that Mohammed chose to be passive to PDP Presidential Campaign Council, despite his appointment as the Vice Chairman, North-East.
The governor alleged that since he was not trusted by the candidate, he would want to stand distanced.
