Popularly known as Bimbo Thomas, Abimbola Idowu Thomas is a Yoruba multi-talented Nollywood actress, filmmaker and entrepreneur, and brand influencer born on the 29th of September. She is the fifth child among her parents who have 23 boys. She grew up to be a tom-boy due to her upbringing. She is an indigenous of Lagos State, southwestern part of Nigeria. She graduated from the University of Lagos with a bachelors degree in Creative Arts.
She started acting while in school, that was when she met Sikiratu Sindodo (Tayo Odueke) who advised her to go acting. She was introduced to Lanre Abbey (Movie Director) to join the Yinka Quadri drama group. She entered into the limelight when she featured in Omo Ghetto in 2011. She has featured in so many movies.
Bimbo Thomas obtained both her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social work from York University Toronto Canada. She also took elective courses in Drama and Creative Arts, due to the passion she have for Acting. But but as the saying goes money comes first and passion follows, hence she allowed her job take first place on the seat. She specializes in Child Protection & Welfare. Her community work in reducing poverty, ensuring equity, social justice, and involvement in other social issues earned her the first award in 2018. Aside her job, she also practice the craft of Make believe.
She loves living a private life. She is a mother of one. His name is Oluwatobiloba Irewoletomiwa Ajadi (Jayden). He was born in the Texas, United States of America. Some of the movies she have featured in are ATM(Authentic Tentative Marriage) directed and produced by Lancelot Imasuen where I had the honour to act alongside Yvonne Jegede, Alex Ekube, Oyinbo Princess, Francis Adega and others. Funny enough in this movie, she played a role of a wedding guest.
Here in Canada, she acted in and was also Co- executive producer with the Famous Tokunmbo Jaboro (TJ) on the project Saving Dreams which was upgraded and renamed Believe in You.
