Just yesterday, the General Secretary of the SUEC debunked the rumour as regards the postponment of the election on the aspirants Whatsapp group, imploring the us to continue with our campaigns and start mobilizing our supporters. Similarly, last night, the same SUEC General Secretary forwarded the directive of the Chairman regarding the required documents for screening. Only for us to be informed early today that the Election has been postponed at the venue that was supposed to be our screening.
Noting from the comments of some SUEC members, it is obvious that they were not carried along and that the postponment is not justifiable."
He proceeded "Majority of the aspirants who have been campaigning since 2019 have sacrificed more than enough, not for the Election to be postponed. I want to appeal that all concerned stakeholders should ensure that the Election comes up this semester and see that the process remain fair and credible."
