Following the recent update from the SOMASSA Students' Representative Council led by Rt. Hon. Speaker Mania, directing the General Secretary of the Social and Management Sciences Students' Association, AAUA to submit all documents within his possession, the General Secretary took to SOMASSA Whatspp group to challenge the decision of the house, which he (D'Real) claimed the decision was piloted by the Speaker himself.
Mainwhile, the SRC has now issued a letter, directing the General Secretary to tender an "Open letter apology" to the Speaker and the SRC Members over his unruly act and utterances.
According to the letter dated 26th of May, 2021 from the SOMASSA SRC Clerk, which reads "I write to inform you of the unanimous decision of this hallow chamber, reached at the floor of the Parliament yesterday (Tuesday 25th, May 2021), that you should tendered an unreserved apology to the SOMASSA Students' Representative Council (SRC) and her Leadership, for undermining the power of the house and indirectly calling the decision of the house impotent."
The Hallow Chamber however said with the act and utterances of Comr. D'Real, he has undermined the power of the hallow chamber to make a decision (as designed to guide the activities of the Association and its officer, in line with the Constitution).
The house made her resolutions that;
"1. You ( D'Real) Must Write an open Apology to the Office of the SOMASSA SRC Speaker and the SRC herself.
2. This must be done within 24hrs of the publication of this notice, and it must be done on those various groups and platforms you used, during the discourse.
3: Failure to adhere to these resolutions of the house, at the stipulated time and with means of dispatch, will be tantamount to a gross misconduct, and the red line of action will follow immediately."
Sooner than latter, the General Secretary took to the SOMASSA WhatsApp group to announce his resignation as the SOMASSA General Secretary.
His resignation was made known in a letter written through his office and addressed to the Speaker of the SOMASSA SRC. It reads in part : "In line with the SOMASSA constitution Article 11, section 46, sub. 2, I write to tender my unalloyed resignation and absolve myself of the heated reeks and pathological style of leadership undermining my potentials as a cabinet officer."
According to the resigned General Secretary- Akin-Ademola Emmanuel (D'Real), he said he served well during the brief period of his selfless service that facilitated numerous progress in the Association, but can no longer continue due to the reasons connoted in his paragraph above. The letter was duly signed by him.
Mainwhile, the SRC and his Co-Executive members are yet to respond to his resignation.
